Holas, Hola A. Matt Dawgs and the infamous JG here. Sorry for the surprise but sh*tg happens and our original virtual time guy had a problem at we've been called to save the day. Stay with us cause TNA has a show and a big announcement. On to the show. Matt Dawgs here covering the first hour of the show. JG will be in at 9:00 PM ish to bat cleanup. Dave Sahadi still has it. A great package recapping everything leading up to tonight. Damn Vince dropped the ball letting him go. Match#1 - A1 vs. Eric Young Back and forth match which if memory serves me correct, i remember reading that this was supposed to be a four way. Not too sure what happened but it's a singles match. Anyway, the much bulked up Eric Young ended up winning with a wheelbarrow into a neck breaker on A1. Looked real good, espeically for someone like Eric Young to pull off. Winner: Eric Young Video package from the pre-show showing fans testing their strengh to see which fans can strap jeff Jarrett the hardest later on. Shot at Jim Cornette and Borash backstage. Jeremy is looking for answers trying to find out the "Big announcement" that will change the face of wrestling history. Wish Tony Schivione could announce it. Boy did he know how to sell a main event better than anyone. I remember when Glaciar fought Ernest Miller and he told me that it was the biggest match in the history of wrestling. I believed it. Corny did mention that it was a wrestler who isn't on the card making the announcement. Could be good. Glad it isn't the Russo deal as the announcement. Let the speculation for the next two hours begin. 2. Petey Williams vs. Jay Lethal Williams came out but Lethal was no where to be found. Camera cuts backstage where Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Chris Sabin were hanging out. Jerry Lynn came into the locker room pissed off cause Lethal's music was playing and he was goofing off. Lynn told him to get to ringside and told Sabin to stop goofing off because he had an X-Division title match later against Senshi. Sabin told him to chill out because he had it covered. Lethal came to ringside and put on his boots outside the ring. Williams started off in command but Lethal reversed a move to take control. It wasn't for long though when he tried a plancha to the outside and missed. Williams back in charge. Just realized that the “Jackass” crew of Lethal, Sabin and Dutt put a laxative in Petey Willaims’ water. Williams is having a hard time wrestling because he is going to sh*t his pants. You know what just struck me? Vince Russo is on the writing team. Get it? No? Well for those new to wrestling reading this, Vince Russo loves toilet humor. Almost as much as Vince McMahon. So expect a lot of fart jokes, and sh*t jokes and crappy, unfunny jokles. Sonjay Dutt came to ringside to explain the laxative to Williams. Williams continued to dominate while he was sh*tting in his pants at the same time. He almost killed Lethal with a sick looking cradle DDT. he set up for the Canadian Destroyer but couldn't because the diahrhea was coming. HAHA!. So Funny. Oh yes, that is sacrasm people. Williams was about to split the match and lose via countout because he had to run to the bathroom but Lethal ended up rolling him up from behind for the win. Winner: Jay Lethal Winner: Abyss
Match #4 - Tag Team Battle Royal Winner: The Naturals Match #5 -X-Division Title Match Senshi (c) vs. Chris Sabin Some Matt wrestling and submission by Sabin early. Chain Wrestling city by both men. Stiff fest city between Senshi and Sabin with chops. Surprisingly and maybe its because i've seen a thousand Low-Ki matches on the indies but this was back and forth between both men. The chops were laid in hard though. Fantastic "Warriors Way" aka Double Stomp when Sabin had half his body on the outside of the ropes. Looked incredible. Very brutal shots by both men. Less typical X match as there were less inovative spots and moves and more stiff forearms, chops and kicks. Both men fighting for position as Senshi went for a superplex. Sabi fights him off and instead of falling back, Senshi ended up in a tree of woe. Sabin then sailed in with a dropkick while Senshi was tied up. Senshi about to hit the Warriors Way but Sonjay comes out and distracts the ref and Senshi. Lethal, behind the refs back slides in a stuffed doll of Sabin. Senshi goes for the Warriors Way but notices it is a dummy. Sabin nails a clothesline and goes for his own Warriors Way but Senshi throws the dummy at him. He then hits a running double front drop kick and gets the pin. Winner: Senshei --- Hey hey! James Guttman here with your real time coverage for the rest of the show. Big thanks to Matt Dawgs for holding down the fort in the show's first half. Interview with: Christian Cage: He doesn't care about Sting's rumored arrival. He thinks that Rhino might care since he's such a fanboy for The Stinger. Words hurt, but Cage doesn't care. The fans are the same way according to him. "They'll never accomplish a damn thing in their lives!" Rhino can settle on being average, but he's not "great" like Captain Charisma. Match #6 - Christian Cage vs. Rhino Tenay says that they know each other "inside and out." Yeah...I, uh. OK. The battle went back and forth for a while, but eventually landed over the barricade and into the crowd. Don West hoped that the ref would give them leeway since things could get violent. Christian and The War Machine ended up deep in the audience where Rhino choked Cage with - wait for it - a paper sign. He choked him with paper. It was magic paper. They made the most of their surroundings, whipping one another into walls and stairs. Seeing opportunity, Christian went in for the kill, but ended up tossed back into the ringside area. Edge's fake brother started to backtrack up the aisle, but was simply biding his time. When Rhino chased after, Cage spiked him with an Implant DDT. With his opponent busted wide open, Chris brought the action back to the ring and went to town on him. He climbed the ropes and even hit a Frog Splash on the bloody Rhino, but still only scored a two count. As Christian chopped away on his prey, Don West said that Cage had gone from being a fan favorite to "an asshole." Christian attempted to use a chair as a weapon, but was stopped by the ref. After a brief scuffle, the official fell and missed Cage's low-blow and follow-up Unprettier on the chair. Three seconds later, Captain Charisma picks up a win on his good buddy. Winner: Christian Cage A car has just arrived in the parking lot. Jeremy Borash and his snazzy outfit are outside with a microphone, but he doesn't get far. Eric Young, convinced it's Sting, tries to break into the limo but is stopped by the LAX. He says, "I didn't know you guys were trying to steal this limo." Offended, they chase him off and then Konnan cuts a promo on AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. Chris Daniels and AJ Styles cut a pretaped interview with Don West. Daniels hates Konnan's racist propoganda. He thinks he's defending the Latino culture, but he ain't. Chris mentions Pedro Morales, Eddie Guerrero, and Tito Santana. He even says that K-Dog would punk out Eddie if he were here today standing between LAX and a goal. The Fallen Angel gives us our second "asshole" of the night and vows victory. Ultimate X Hype Video Match #7 - Ultimate X Match - TNA Tag Champions LAX vs. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. Things started off quickly and it's pretty funny to hear Don West say, "Gringo Killer." It's like hearing Dick Cheney say, "Off the hizzle, bee-otch." The good guys double team Homicide for a while and then send AJ up to get the belt. Cide recovers though and teeters Styles back and forth until he falls. Seemed fun. After narrowly avoiding a chair shot, Daniels came back and fended them off. He ended up on the outside and was nailed by a rope flip from Homi. Then it was A.J.'s turn to do his thang. He flipped over the top and it looked like it would be pretty bad if the camera wasn't placed where it was. Either way, it looked cool enough. Donny and Professor Mike apologize for being unable to cover things as they happen because they're happening so quickly. (JG Note: Try writing it, guys. I, like Michael and Donald, apologize as well.) It moves very fast and everyone is just tossing in spot after spot. While normally people can complain about that stuff, a match like this sort of implies it. An Ultimate X Match is designed to showcase spots. While it's still not a good idea to do spot-after-spot, you have to sarcafice some psychology in order to get over the gimmick match. Homicide ended up on the cables and chose to scoot across with his arms and legs locked around it. Unfortauntely, he was facing the wrong way and was easy prey for the Phenomenal One. Styles chased him down and they both came tumbling down to the mat. The fcans seemed pretty into it and the announcing was good here too. Together, they both sold the match and got over Hernandez and Cide well. At one point, AJ regained momentum and took the Latin American Exchangers down. From there, he broke into this manic scream that made it look like he was doing a Batista impression. If you have the show on Tivo, go back and look at it. OK. Now look at the picture of Dave we used for the Great American Bash report. Crazy. If you don't have the show on Tivo, you have to take my word on it. Sorry. Things moved on and everyone started to hit top rope shots in succession. Christopher hit the BME and they all followed him in suit. After more back and forth, Styles hit Homicide with the Styles Clash from the apron through a table. West screamed, "Wow! Wow! Wow!" Only he said it really weird and kind of creepy. Back in the ring, Konnan slammed Chris with a blackjack and brought in a kendo stick. The ref jumped in and was intimidated. With everyone distraced, Daniels climbed the corner and then, from the top of the cables, jumped to the middle of the set-up. Mike Tenay was beside himself and it really sounded like he was going to cry. The match was really good. Great spots and great highlight footage. Not sure I'd cry over it though. Winners: New Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels Recap of Jeff Jarrett having to take a lie detector test to satisfy Jim Cornette. Cornette punished Jarrett by putting him in a match with Samoa Joe...and crazy TNA fans with straps. Match #8 - Fan Revenge Match - Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe (Non Title) Jeff wore three shirts for this one in order to fend off the insane fans and plants. Right off the bat, Joe took advantage of Jarrett's distraction and pelted him with kicks and headbutts. The NWA Champ tries to take off, but quickly runs back in thanks to the fans and their leather straps. Oddly enough, the crowd didn't react much to the start of this. I understand, though. Watching this match, you feel yourself waiting for the big surprise. This is almost a buffer match in some ways. After some more battle, Double J found himself outside the ring and whooped by nutty fans. Upon entering the ring, Jeff grabbed S.J.'s trunks and propelled him outside. He called to the fans for a Samoan whipping, but instead they opted to help him to his feet. Angered by the bias, The King of Winner: Samoa Joe After the official word, Samoa Joe took the title with him. Before Jeff could react, Jim Cornette came out for the big announcement and introduced... No one yet. He thanked the fans and said on Thursday 11/16 goes primetime at 9pm. But that ain't the big announcement. This is: KURT ANGLE ...then they played a video. Kurt said, "It's real. It's damn real." But, no one came out. The show just ended. Either way, it was a pretty big deal and they sure faked out a ton of people. Don West ended the night by saying, "Holy shit." What a potty mouth. He needs the Three I's. All in all: Good stuff. Good show. Good night.
