CYBER SUNDAY ' 06

on Sunday, November 5th 2006

in Cincinnati, Ohio at the US Bank Arena

- Hosted by Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler.

- They opened up with the usual fantastic clip that makes you believe you're gonna see the greatest show of all time, and that someone is probably going to die in the ring. It's often a lie.

- JR & Lawler opened the show, we saw the usual SAT, and they said that over 13 million people voted on wwe.com for the PPV.

- Todd Grisham & Maria showed the result for the votes for Umaga's opponent : Kane got 49% of the votes. Sandman got 28% and Benoit only got 23% of the votes.

1) Umaga ( with Armando Alejandro Estrada) beat Kane at 8:39 after a Samoan Spike.

Who actually vote for this match we've seen a million times? In 3 years of these kind of shows, there isn't one poll that I thought wasn't fixed. Not one. JR, probably pissed off to see that lame match once again repeated many times "you voted for it, you asked for it!". At 5:05 Umaga hit his Butt-butt in the corner and Kane rolled out of the ring. Kane avoided Umaga's finisher as Umaga hit the post. At 8:39 Umaga hit the Samoan Spike for the clean win.

- Queen Sharmell bumped into The Big Show backstage. She tried to put him on King Booker's side. You scratch Booker's back, he'll scratch yours. BS said he didn't trust anyone, so it's everyone for himself.

- Todd Grisham & Maria showed the results for the stipulation of the next match : Fatal 4 Way got 15%, Turmoil got 35%, Texas Tornado got 50%.

2) Cryme Tyme beat The Highlanders, Trevor Murdoch/Lance Cade and Charlie Haas/Viscera in a Texas Tornado match in 4:28 when JTG pinned Robbie McAllister.

Cade & Murdoch hit their finisher on Robbie and Cryme Tyme stole the pin from them. JTG & Shad went to celebrate with JR & Lawler. When they left, Lawler saw that they stole his computer.

- Triple H & HBK wondered aloud who would be the best choice for their referee would be tonight. Triple H reminded HBK that Eric Bischoff said that DX isn't controversial. HBK freaked out, reminded everyone about Montreal, reminded them that Triple H married "whatsername". HBK left screaming and Superkicking every one in sight. Trips laughed.

- They plugged "Game On" by Disciple, the official theme song from the PPV, and the group Disciple was there front row in the arena.

- Todd Grisham & Maria revealed the results for the IC contender votes : Carlito got 62%, Johnny Nitro got 13%, and Shelton Benjamin got 25%.

3) WWE Intercontinental champion, Jeff Hardy beat Carlito in 13:22 after a Swanton Bomb.

The crowd is very hot. At 10:45 Carlito got his knees up on a Hardy Swanton Bomb. Ouch. Carlito then did his Twisting Senton + Lionsault high flying combo, but only got a 2 count. Carlito missed a top rope Huracanrana and Hardy followed up with a stiff Swanton for the win at 13:22. Good match.

- A commercial for the Hulk Hogan Anthology DVDs aired.

4) Edge & Randy Orton beat D-Generation X (with special ref, Eric Bischoff) in 18:12 when Orton pinned Triple H after an RKO on a chair.

After 3 super short PPV matches, HBK & Triple H did a full 10 minute entrance playing with the hot crowd. Probably cool for a house show, insulting on PPV. Grisham & Maria appeared on the platform to reveal the results. Maria said she voted for Mr.McMahon because she doesn't want to get fired. They revealed that Vince got 20%, Coach got 20% too and Bischoff got 60% of the votes. Bischoff came out straight away already in full referee attire. Coach & Vince were never even seen on screen. All of that is so uneventful and done so cheaply, I don't get the point of it all. Orton & Edge came out and the match started at 9:03pm. HBK started Vs Edge. Edge got semi-pantsed after a sunset flip and walked around with his whole ass hanging out. Bischoff played it straight. At 14:10 Edge Speared Bischoff by mistake and HBK did the hot tag to Triple H. Orton hit the RKO, another ref came in but Trips kicked out anyway. Orton went crazy mad. Orton got Superkicked by HBK. Bischoff stopped the new ref to make the count. HBK wanted to kick Bischoff's ass but Edge attacked him with a chair. Orton hit the RKO on a chair for the pin. Bischoff saw it all and still made the count, screwing DX.

- They aired a clip to promote "The Marine".

- Lita went to congratulate Orton & Edge backstage about their victory. Todd Grisham interrupted and said that the win was tainted. Edge & Orton got mad and said that the era of the "Rated RKO" had begun.

- All the Divas came out and surrounded the ring. Just seeing them together I was just shaking my head at all the ugliness and lack of class concentrated in such a small place.

5) Lita beat Mickie James in 8:08 with a DDT to capture the WWE Women's championship in a Lumberjack match.

This was the finals for the WWE Women's title tournament. Maria revealed the results of the votes for the stipulation : Submission only got 14%, "Lumberjack" won easily.

- They plugged WM 23.

- Kenny was screaming at his Spirit Squad members. Johnny asked him who died and made him boss? They almost got in a fight. They finally did a cheer and a vow to beat the fossils tonight but Johnny still stared Kenny down.

- Todd Grisham & Maria revealed that Roddy Piper won with 46%, Dusty Rhodes got 35% and Sgt.Slaughter only 19%.

6) Ric Flair & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (with Dusty Rhodes and Sgt.Slaughter) beat World Tag Team champions, Spirit Squad to capture the belts in 6:56 when Mikey tapped out to the Figure 4 Leglock.

Piper looked 100 years old and was whiter than usual and his gut was bigger than the Iron Sheik's. Kenny & Mikey were the SS members defending the titles tonight. Flair had Mikey in the Figure 4 and Kenny broke the submission with a top rope legdrop on Flair in an awesome visual. At 6:56 Mikey finally tapped out. The 4 veterans emptied the ring of the SS after the match. They all danced.

 - King Booker asked John Cena for an alliance to get rid of The Big Show during the main event. Cena said OK if he got a night with the Queen. Sharmell was outraged and left. Booked said Ok, but Cena said that he was only joking. Faarooq came out of nowhere and said "Damn!"

- They plugged the Survivor Series.

- Some players of the Cincinnati Bengals were shown in the front row.

- Grisham & Maria revealed that 67% of the people had voted for King Booker's title to be defended tonight. ECW belt got 21% and Cena's title got 12%.

7) World champion, King Booker (with Queen Sharmell) beat ECW champion, The Big Show and WWE champion, John Cena in a Triple Threat match at 21:08.

They all took turn double-teaming the thirs wrestler. At 16:40 BS Suplexed the 2 others at the same time. BS Speared Cena and then tried to Chokeslam him through a table but Cena countered. Cena hit the Shuffle on Booker and the Queen interfered. Cena F-U'ed Sharmell and then put the STFU on Booker. Kevin Federline came out of nowhere and hit Cena with a belt. Cena got up and chased K-Fed out the ring. Booker surprised Cena and KO'ed him with the belt and then covered him for the pin. K-Fed then came in the ring to make fun of a KO'ed Cena. End show.
