"Ever since hearing of the news regarding
Eddie Guerrero's passing, I have been an emotional wreck.
As I watched last nights RAW, my heart broke a little
more as colleagues and fans hearts broke with mine. I
thought a good nights sleep would help but there was no
sleep and there was no help. I watched Eddie's DVD and
rejoiced in the matches that they included showing Eddie
at his finest. I have so many favorite memories of Eddie
all the way back to my 'Tape-Scavenging Days' of The Love
Machine and Guerrero. My favorite times to watch Eddie
'fly' were obviously those WCW days when the luchadores
were introduced. I loved Eddie and Malenko's matches in
ECW. And who could forget RVD and Guerrero's Ladder Match
for the Intercontinental Title? I was praying for the
day Guerrero would get a chance to hold the World Title
and sadly, I won't get to but damn, Eddie Guerrero was
the most exciting and innovative wrestler to watch. I
am truly, deeply and with great sadness going to miss
Eduardo Gory Guerrero. Rest in Peace."

"I am a wrestling fan since the hogan
vs warrior match... I have seen people come and go ..
lost my interest in the business after the cheesy angles
and meek storylines. But i always watched smackdown, and
that was for one reason : Eddie.
He made the show fun, he made each his oppnent
look better then life... and the night he was suppose
to recieve gold, he was taken from us.
The next day (Monday) i was driving to work
and suddenly just started crying out of the blue in my
car. I dont know where that emotion suddenly came from,
all Icould think about was eddie's little girls, the times
he made us laugh, the times he made us hate him and the
times you rooted for him... That was Eddie.
Simply the best.. You leave a void that
will never be filled Eddie. As Cena said it so perfectly
on RAW:
I know he's in a better place. But selfishly,
every single one of us will miss him. We love you, Eddie."

"It still hasn't hit me yet. I've been watching Eddie
since his WCW debut in '95, and watching Eddie and Benoit
flip around on WCW Saturday night was so awesome to me.
I kept up with how many times they fought, especially
each other. When they began their rise, I got SOOO excited
because I knew those 2 had the talent to draw fans and
get huge pops. It also seemed like they enjoyed what they
were doing...I can't believe he's gone.
One of my favorite moments was when he took his suitcase
out to the ring on Nitro and rolled it all over the place
saying he's going home because he's tired of the politics.
Another favorite was when he and Chyna went to prom! He
was getting his GED!!! That cracked me up.
Anything with Chavo and him together had great chemistry,
so all those stories, matches, and moments were some of
my favorites.
BUT, my #1 favorite was when he and RVD fought in a ladder
match on RAW a couple of years ago. I was glued to the
TV and it was so solid. I was an Eddie fan before, but
that made me crave matches like that every week. Eddie,
I know you never knew me, but I felt like I knew you.
I've been crying and praying all day that you're with
God and that your family is going to be okay without you."

"The memory of Eddie that will always
live with me was at the Cow Palace last year when he defeated
Brock. My wife, who isn't that big a wrestling fan, came
with me, albeit reluctantly. At the end of the night she
was standing alongside me giving him a standing ovation.
She became an Eddie fan that night.
Last night during Raw she actually broke
down crying during the 10-bell salute. Our daughter, who
just turned two, wasn't sure why both her parents were
crying, so she started going up to both of us saying "No
no no" (her favourite word right now) and trying to make
us feel better.
But what I enjoyed the most was the head shot image they
used for Eddie in the bottom left hand corner. It was
the one from last Friday's Smackdown when he was standing
in the middle of the ring and smiling because he was preparing
to cheat while the ref was out. That was the Eddie my
wife and I loved, and even though you didn't know how
long he was going to stay face, he was our old Eddie again.
So each time I saw that graphic, it made me smile.
No matter what he did, he had the crowd in his hands.
They could be booing him one second, chanting "Eddie Sucks"
and all he had to do was his Eddie Shuffle to get them
on his side.
Thank you, Eddie. "

"I became a fan of pro wrestling back when I was
just 4 years old. Growing up, I never took anything
seriously because...well...I was just a kid. Fast forward
about 18 years and here I am. I'm a few years still
from graduating from college, and the only thing that
remained constant with me is my love for pro wrestling.
Eddie Guerrero was never really one of my favorite
performers to watch up until recently, when his talents,
and heart for his line of work, were pushed to the moon.
Once a week though I could take a break from my hectic
schedule of 2 jobs and school and watch someone that
seemed to truly enjoy what he did...in every aspect.
I may never find Jesus, or overcome the monster that
is addiction, like Guerrero did, but I hope, one day,
that I find that my life seems at least half as complete
as his did.

arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful:
a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day."-The

"I first noticed Eddie when he formed
the LWO in WCW. The way he took all those under-used
Luchadors and made them interesting is a testament to
his charisma. I always enjoyed when he tossed in some
Spanish sentences into his promos. As for his wrestling
he was one of the elite currently in the business and
perhaps of all time. I remember his sunset flips over
the top of a ladder to a powerbomb. I remember him twisting
his heel into a fallen opponents face. Everything he
did seemed to do was different. No one has the same
style as Eddie. That is why he will be missed greatly."

"I am sort of still in shock over hearing of Eddie's
passing. Actually I'm starting to move to anger. How can
somebody who overcame so many obstacles be repaid like
that. It seems very cruel to the Guerrero family and his
friends. We as wrestling fans can mourn and we will for
a few weeks maybe months. Of course we will never forget
him as a performer but the real damage is done to his
family. I can't help but think about the "Cheating death,
Stealing life" DVD that I own and have watched on many
ocaasions. When talking to his family there was such a
sense of relief because he had made it through. I remember
his older sister saying that she should be the one to
die first and all the feelings of resentment she had had
towards him for putting his family throught all that he
did. Now it will live on as almost a way to mock them
for ever feeling that all was well after the heartache.
Tha's what I feel the main tragedy is. For his brothers,
his mom, Chavo, his sisters and daghters there will be
no easy answers.
As a fellow Chicano I really looked up to him. I could
tell that he was his character and all the latino pride
he had was real. Not that latino wrestlers before had'nt
but there was something different and that difference
was heart. Though I never met this man I've been feeling
a great sense of loss the last few days and believe
me I have dealt with loss before and even I am suprised
how hard I have taken this. Some people might say that
he was just a wrestler and maybe not worth my thoughts
and prayers but Eddie had that connection with his fans.
There was nothing scripted about that. "

"One of my favorite memories of the
great Eddie was a episode of Smackdown!, well over 2
years ago. He and Edge had a ladder match. At the time,
he was playing the heel, however with his skills, he
was hard not to cheer for. At the end of the match,
Edge hit his “Edgecution” on Eddie from
the top of the ladder and ring rope and got the 1, 2,
3. I still remember to this day, Eddie getting up slowly
well after Edge left the ring, his music hitting, and
seeing him look around to a standing ovation for his
effort…and him pounding his chest with an open
hand, thanking the crowd. He was one in a billion.
God Bless, Eddie"
