Guests: The Big Show & The Coach.

Welcome to the first Byte this review, by me; who is watching Byte This for the very first time. Yes that’s right I have never seen this Byte This web-show before in my life, and never thought to; but James wanted someone to recap it for WWI so I asked to do it. And here it comes: the very first moments of the very first Byte This for the week of October 19th.

After an as always, well-produced, Ritalin Generation opening montage we get into the show and…

Todd Grisham? That’s it I quit. I seriously did not know he was the host.

In less than ten seconds Todd is begging for applause. Two seconds after that is our first Big Show joke.

The Big Show will be battling on Raw for a spot at Taboo Tuesday. Call now and talk to Todd, because he is really bad at this. He reads off a teleprompter like George W. Bush.

Our first live call is from the Coach who yells at Grisham, and then says he only has a few minutes (yay!) Coach is the new voice of the people and is not scared of Stone Cold Steve Austin! We get a recap of the Stone Cold Coach interaction from Raw. The voice of the people, the voice of the people will not back down from a fight…or a debate (vote now). Grisham thinks Coach has something up his sleeve…I wonder what it could be? Grisham cuts off the Coach and glories in his victory like a 2nd grader.

The Big Show calls in. The Big Show is excited…doesn’t sound it, but he is excited. He likes John Cena; but will have no problem taking him out, given the chance. The Big Show needs your votes and he has faith in all you fired fans out there. Big Show thinks Shawn Michaels is the man. Smackdown vs. Raw is discussed…who is the best? Show takes a shot at Smackdown: “they don’t have what it takes to be the #1 show.” (Batista must love that)

Conan O’Brien had the Big Show on a few weeks back. The Big Show is truly a great representative for the WWE. He is charming, witty and a very endearing person. (The Big Show Teddy Bear…awww.)

Big Show likes to wrestle guys who challenge him…no mention of Brock at all; but he does put over Snitsky (yeesh). Show mentions his ‘nip up’ from a few weeks ago. He talks about his passion for the business.

Grisham asks about Show’s visit to Iraq. Show is coming off great here. I can understand that even with his weight problems and in ring work why the WWE places so much stock in the man. Show talks about a rib that was played on him during the trip involving an air mattress. The Big Show eats cereal during mortar attacks.

Show humbly puts himself over for votes and then signs off.

Smackdown rebound. Todd recaps Taboo Tuesday and what is going on the big two shows. Byte This ends.

Todd Grisham is occasionally amusing, and was less annoying than the Coach; the Big Show was a fantastic guest. His interview is worth putting up with the rest of the show for. I enjoyed it and will be back next week.

Live Calls: The Big Show.

Big Show would defend the title first against Shawn Michaels

He wants to kick the crap out of Triple H. for Ric Flair. Big Show puts over Flair huge.

Would you have wanted to wrestle Andre? Hell yes. (The Big Show plays Cribbage?)

Big Show’s first job was as a plumber’s assistant in South Carolina.

Big Show’s dream match: Ladder Match with Shawn Michaels. (yikes)

Big Show Rapid Fire Word Association:

Coach: Ladies Man.

Kurt Angle: Incredible Wrestler.

Vince: Relentless, unstoppable genius.

Hulk Hogan: (pause) Great guy, my big brother.

Ultimate Warrior (long pause) No opinion. But JBL bashed the hell out of him a few episodes ago.

Eric Bischoff: Nice to see him humbled.

Chris Benoit: Respect, much respect.

Todd Grisham: Vivacious personality, great impersonations.

JBL: A brilliant jackass.

Jim Ross: Much Respect (by the way the Big Show is getting blown up just talking.) He puts over Ross huge.

Live Calls: Todd Grisham

Todd’s favorite Taboo Tuesday moment: Coach in a dress. Todd then gives underwear advice…seriously. Wear boxers men, wear boxers, so sayeth Todd.

Todd can’t wait to see Triple H. vs. Flair.
