The online version of Heat is now online. This week's show features Kerwin White and Nick Nemeth taking on Shelton Benjamin and Matt Striker. Also, Rob Conway takes on WWE hall of famer Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. You can check out the latest edition of Heat at WWE.com.

(1) Viscera and Val Venis defeated Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in a non title match when Viscera pinned Murdoch with the VD.

Segment one opens up with a preview for the video game Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. We get this at the beginning of all four segments. Actually, I've played it and its a fun game. Definitely worth at least a rental if you're an MK fan. Anyways, the show opened with the tag champs Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch taking on Val Venis and Viscera in a non-title match. Coach said he could appreciate someone wearing a cowboy hat. They showed highlights of Val and Viscera's disqualification win three weeks ago on Raw. Todd Grisham put over the champs saying they have never been pinned since debuting on Raw. Lance and Val start out as Grisham and Coach talk about Coach's upcoming match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin at Taboo Tuesday. Lance takes the early advantage with some kicks, but Val gets him in the corner and delivers some chops. Val gets reversed into the corner and hits a back elbow. He climbs to the top but Murdoch crotches him on the top rope while Cade distracts the ref. Viscera distracts the ref, so Cade only gets a one count on the cover. Cade argues with Viscera which shields the ref from seeing Murdoch getting some cheaps shots in on Val. Murdoch tags in and the two hit a double backdrop on Val followed by a two count. Cade tags in and lowers his head for a backdrop, but Val responds with a kick to the head. Lance tags out to Murdoch, but this allows Val to finally make the tag to big Vis who works over both of the champs. He whips both champs to the corner and charges in, but Trevor gets out of the way and Cade kicks him in the face. Murdoch runs at him but gets caught in a black hole slam. Val then pulls Cade backwards by the legs and gives him a crotch job into the ringpost. Val climbs to the top and hits the money shot on Murdoch. Viscera follows up with the VD and scores the pin. Afterwards, they show a commercial plugging the new edition of Raw magazine with Triple H on the cover.

THE VERDICT

Pretty basic by-the-numbers tag team match. Heels take advantage in the beginning, then the babyface makes the hot tag and scores the clean win. It sure doesn't help the champs get any credibility when they're losing to two guys that have been in the jobber role for quite a while now. I can't really recommend the segment unless you must see some tag team wrestling.

(2) Snitsky defeated Rosey with a mafia kick.

In segment two, it's Rosey taking on Gene Snitsky. The announcers acknowledge Hurricane removing his mask on WWE unlimited Monday following his beatdown at the hands of Kurt Angle. Rosey starts with a side headlock but Snitsky shoves him off for a shoulder block which has no effect. Gene whips Rosey to the outside and tries to come off the apron with a double axehandle, but Rosey catches him with a shot to the gut. Rosey tries to Irish whip him on the outside, but Snitsky reverses Rosey into the ringpost. Snitsky rolls him back in and drops some elbows while the announcers talk about Edge and Chris Masters invading Smackdown. Gene continues to work over Rosey, but drops his head for a backdrop and gets kicked in the gut. Snitsky reverse into the ropes, but Rosey hits a shoulderblock. He follows with a clothesline and a samoan drop before going for a second rope moonsault (seriously) but Snitsky gets out of the way. Snitsky hits a mafia kick and scores the pin. From here we go to a commercial for the self destruction of the ultimate warrior DVD.

THE VERDICT

Actually not a bad match for these two. I wasn't expecting much going in, but they kept it short enough that it wasn't that bad. Very surprising to see Rosey attempt a moonsault and him missing that was a good way to set up the finish.

(3) Rob Conway defeated Greg "The Hammer" Valentine by disqualification when Eugene interfered.

Segment three starts with a recap of the Stone Cold/Stephanie/Coach segment from Raw this past Monday. Back in the ring, Rob Conway takes on former Intercontinental champ and WWE hall of famer Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. They show a prerecorded interview with Rob Conway where he says Greg Valentine's time is over and he will take a beating the Con Way. Rob takes control early and "hammer" chants ring from the crowd. Valentine backs him to the corner and hits a couple of chops before hip tossing him to the middle of the ring. Greg whips him to the outside and gives a forarm to the chest as he tries to get back in. Conway trips up Valentine's leg from the outside and pulls him out to the floor where he whips him into the ringpost. Rob rolls him back in and works him over with some punches to the head. Valentine comes back with some elbows to the head and puts on a headlock. Conway shoves him to the ropes and goes for a dropkick, but Valentine holds onto the ropes to avoid the move. He then drops a couple elbow before giving the sign for the figure four. Valentine does his headbutt to the midsection, and follows with the figure four, but Conway kicks him off sending Valentine shoulder first into the corner. Conway beats down Valentine in the corner and sets up for the ego trip, but Eugene runs in for the save resulting in a disqualification. Afterwards, Eugene tried to raise Valentine's arm, but he shoved down Eugene and left. Eugene sat in the ring crying. They plugged the Divas uncovered book available this Tuesday.

THE VERDICT

Kind of a dull segment. This was good for the beginning of a Conway/Eugene feud but the match itself was really blah. Not really worth going out of your way for. Hammer looked really old.

(4) Kerwin White and Nick Nemeth defeated Shelton Benjamin and Matt Striker when Kerwin pinned Shelton following a doubleteam electric chair.

It's main event time in segment four with Kerwin White and Nick Nemeth taking on Shelton Benjamin and Matt Striker. They showed highlights from last week's match when Kerwin and Nick beat down Shelton after the match and Matt Striker made the save which set up this tag team match. Matt Striker starts out with Nick Nemeth. Striker hits a couple armdrags early on as the crowd chants "Chavo." Striker hits a dropkick and follows with another armdrag before tagging out to Shelton. Striker hits a drop toe hold and Shelton follows with an elbow drop. Shelton throws some punches, but Nemeth rakes the eyes and tags out to Kerwin. Kerwin is armdragged immediately then reverses an irish whip allowing Nemeth to get a cheap shot in on Shelton. When Shelton turns his attention to Nemeth, Kerwin attacks him from behind and throws him out to the floor where Nemeth gets another cheap shot in. When Shelton makes it back in the ring, they double team him in the corner while the announcers talk about Kane winning the battle royal on Raw. Kerwin and Nemeth go for a double suplex on Shelton but he turns it into a double neckbreaker. Shelton goes over for the tag, but Striker jumps down from the ring apron refusing the tag and walks up the ramp. Kerwin ddts Shelton for a two count. Kerwin and Nemeth double team Shelton as Striker laughs from the top of the ramp. They whip Shelton to the corner, then Nemeth tries to whip Kerwin into Shelton, but Shelton ducks the oncoming Kerwin and hits a forearm to the head on Striker. Kerwin charges and gets backdropped. Shelton hits a series of right hands on both men then whips Kerwin to the ropes and lifts him into the air dropping him chest first to the mat. Shelton knocks Nemeth out of the ring and climbs to the top for a clothesline on Kerwin. Nemeth grabs the nine iron and jumps on the ring apron but Shelton knocks him off. Shelton goes for a back suplex on Kerwin, but Kerwin floats over and Nemeth sneaks in while the ref is getting the nine iron out of the ring. The two hit a doubleteam electric chair on Shelton and Kerwin scores the pin on Shelton.

THE VERDICT

Decent match. The action was good when Shelton and Kerwin were in there. Striker and Nemeth were alright but definitely a step down from the other two. The gimmick that Kerwin and Nemeth are doing really takes away from their matches. The Striker turn seemed to come out of nowhere. This looks to be setting up a Shelter vs. Striker match next week. This was the best match on the show.

OVERALL:

This show was just kinda there. Nothing here that you really need to go out of your way to see. Decent main event, but the other matches were really too short to even form an opinion on. They are using angles here to set up future matches though and that's good. Vis and Val will earn a tag title opportunity after this week's win and it looks like Conway vs. Eugene and Shelton vs. Striker are something we'll see down the line. I guess with Heat, I'd like to feel like I'm getting something I don't get from raw and right now I'm not getting it.
