The latest edition of Heat is now online. This weeks show features a main event with Snitsky and Tomko making their tag team debut against Viscera and Val Venis. Also, Eugene takes on ROH's Colt Cabana and Matt Striker faces Tajiri. You can check out the latest edition of Heat at http://www.wwe.com/shows/webshows/heat/

(1) Matt Striker defeated Tajiri with a rollup up the ropes while holding the tights.

Segment one has our opener with Matt Striker taking on Tajiri. The announcers hype up Survivor Series which is only two weeks away. Striker and Tajiri trade headlocks, armbars and standing switches before Striker finally throws Tajiri down to the mat by the hair. Striker follows up with a back suplex, a knee lift and a suplex. Todd Grisham makes reference to Striker's locker room heat as Striker drops a knee to the back of the head. Tajiri finally gets some offense by grabbing Striker's leg and executing a dragonscrew leg whip. He tries to follow up with a clothesline, but Striker reverses it into a weird looking submission move with Tajiri's leg hooked between his legs in a standing postion and his hands locked around the side of the head of Tajiri. Tajiri backs him into the corner and lands some chops which are followed by some of his lethal kicks. Striker shoves him off to the ropes, but Tajiri hits his springboard back elbow and follows with a spin kick for a two count. Striker comes back with a neckbreaker, but Tajiri quickly recovers and lands a kick to the midsection. Striker charges in to the corner but gets caught in the taranchula. Tajiri goes for the buzzsaw kick, but Striker ducks and rolls up Tajiri off the ropes while holding the tights to score the pin. They close out the segment with a commercial for the Wrestlemania Anthology DVD set.

THE VERDICT

This was an okay match but nothing really worth going out of your way for. Its sad to see that Tajiri has fallen all the way to opening match jobber on Heat. He could be doing so much more. Matt Striker seems like Heat's Carlito in that he only wins by cheap means.

(2) Eugene defeated Colt Cabana with a rock bottom.

Segment two has Eugene taking on Colt Cabana. Colt gives everybody a thumbs down while he's being introduced. Eugene and Colt trade armbars while Colt tries his best to do the Iron Mike Sharpe yelling in pain routine. Eugene shoves Colt to the ropes and Colt leapfrogs him and bounces off the ropes but Eugene curls himself up into a ball. Colt looks confused and goes for a windmill elbow drop but Eugene moves out of the way. Eugene lands the Junkyard Dog headbutts and lifts his leg doing the um dog marking his territory spot. An upset Colt Cabana runs into a single leg trip and Eugene rides him as if he's a mechanical bull. He whips Colt to the corner, but runs into a back elbow. Colt follows with a driving elbow and a suplex for a pair of two counts. Colt lands a couple right hands and rams Eugene into the corner turnbuckle a couple times, but Eugene hulks up and hits the windup punch on Colt followed by an airplane spin. Both men stagger around the ring and Colt walks into and atomic drop. Eugene mocks Colt before hitting the rock bottom for the pin. From here, we go backstage for a mini promo with Snitsky and Tomko. Snitsky tells Tomko he likes his boots. Tomko tells Snitsky he likes his back acne. Tomko says he can hardly wait to take out Val and Vis, he can already taste it. Tomko says "Two great tastes that taste great together." Wow. What a dream team of insanity those two are. They close the segment with the divas uncovered commecial. Somehow that seems appropriate following Snitsky and Tomko.

THE VERDICT

Good comedy match with Eugene and Colt. I have the feeling a bunch of net fans who don't usually watch heat will be checking out this segment since Colt is in it. It was short, but good and pretty much your typical Eugene match.

(3) Kerwin White and Nick Nemeth defeated The Heart Throbs when Kerwin pinned Antonio with a jackhammer suplex.

Segment three started out with a recap of the raw main event. From there we go to tag-team action with Kerwin White and Nick Nemeth taking on the heart throbs. I don't know when exactly the heart throbs turned babyface, but I must have missed the memo. White and Nemeth attack from behind and Nemeth throws Romeo outside. White chokes out Antonio with his shirt while Nemeth distracts the ref. Antonio reverses into a sitdown hiptoss and give Nemeth one as well. From here all four men are in the ring and the heart throbs whip White and Nemeth to the ropes for a pair of back elbows. White and Nemeth bail to the floor while the heart throbs pose in the ring. Nemeth comes in and works over Antonio in the corner. He whips him to the other corner, but charges into a back elbow. Antonio follows up with a reverse body press off the second rope but doesn't try a cover. Nemeth tags out to White who runs into an armdrag. Antonio makes the tag to Romeo who comes in and continues to work on Kerwin's arm. He whips Kerwin to the corner but gets caught by a Kerwin headbutt to the midsection while he's charging in. From there, Antonio argues with the ref while Kerwin lifts up Romeo and Nemeth drops his throat acrosst he top rope in a double team hot shot. Kerwin and Nemeth continue to work him over in the corner with doubleteam moves and quick frequent tags. Finally, Romeo backdrops Kerwin and makes the tag to Antonio. He whips Kerwin to the ropes for a backdrop and knocks Nemeth from the ring apron. The heart throbs both go to the ropes for a doubleteam move, but Nemeth trips up Romeo and pulls him outside. Kerwin catches Antonio in a flapjack on the rebound and hits a jackhammer for the pin. They close out the segment with ad for the Jake "the snake" Roberts dvd "Pick Your Poison."

THE VERDICT

Not a bad match, but these gimmicks are all played out.

(4) Gene Snitksy and Tyson Tomko defeated Val Venis and Viscera when Tomko pinned Val after a mafia kick.

In segment four, its main event time with the newly formed team of Snitsky and Tyson Tomko taking on Val Venis and Viscera. Tomko starts out with big Vis. Tomko shoves him, so Vis responds by shoving Tomko out of the ring. Tomko tags out to Snitsky who comes in and tries to bodyslam big Vis which isn't happening. Vis slams him instead and tags out to Val. He comes in and they hit the drop toe hold/big Vis elbowdrop combo. Val covers for a series of two counts. Snitsky makes the blind tag to Tomko and they hit a doubleteam sidewalk slam/elbow drop combo. Tomko only gets a two count but follows with some punches to back of the head and a suplex. He tags Snitsky and they hit a double team elbow on Val. Snitsky follows up with a bodyslam and and elbow drop for another two count. Val tries to fight back, but Snitsky tags out to Tomko and they double team Val some more. Tomko hits a running over the shoulder powerslam for another two count and follows up with an abdominal stretch. Val gets out, but Tomko shoves him back to the corner. Val fights his way out and tries to crawl over to the corner, but Tomko grabs his leg. Val counters with an enziguri but Snitsky runs in and nails Viscera before Val can make the tag. Vis comes in and shoves the ref down before hitting a blackhole slam on Tomko. Snitsky charges but gets hit with a spinning heel kick from Vis. Vis goes for the visagra, but the ref wont let him do it since he's not the legal man. Val charges Snitsky and goes for a clothesline, but Snitsky reverses it into a full nelson and throws Val into Tomko's KICK OF DEATH, KICK OF DEATH. OH MY GOD. THE KICK OF DEATH. Tomko covers for the pin.

THE VERDICT

Shockingly Snitsky and Tomko actually looked good together. They did some nice doubleteam spots and there's just something about those two together that kinda works in a sick way. I can definitely see them challenging Show and Kane for the belts at some point.

OVERALL

This was probably the best episode of heat since I've started reviewing the show. Really nothing all that bad on it. Snitsky and Tomko worked alot better together than I thought they would. Striker's push continues. We'll have to see if that goes anywhere. Eugene is Eugene. This could be the final match with the Kerwin White gimmick. After the whole thing with Eddie yesterday, I only hope they let Chavo drop that silly gimmick.
