(1) Kid Kash defeated Paul London with a moonsault

Segment one opens up with cruiserweight action as we have Kid Kash taking on Paul London. London was already in the ring and didn't get an entrance. Paul London hits a couple arm drags and follows with a dropkick for an early two count. London goes to a headlock. Kash tries to back suplex him, but London lands on his feet and goes back to the headlock. Kash tries to whip him to the ropes but London hangs on to the headlock, so Kash counters with a backbreaker. Kash goes to work on the back. London fights his way out with a couple right hands and comes off the ropes, but Kash hits a back elbow and covers for a two count. Kash goes back to the back, but London gets out with some kicks to the head. Kash regains control and looks like he's going for a back suplex, but instead drops London stomach first to the mat. Kash goes to a surfboard, but London holds on. Kash argues with the referee giving London time to recover. London hits some punches to the gut and catches Kash off the ropes with a spin kick. Kash charges in, but London drops him throat first across the top rope in a hot shot. London hits a running elbow and follows with the dropsault for a two count. London tries to suplex Kash, but Kash floats over and pulls London to the mat by the hair for a two count. He follows with some chops in the corner and goes for the musclebuster but London fights out of it with some kicks and puts him in an Oklahoma roll for a long two count. Kash whips London to the corner and charges in, but London counters with an elbow and climbs to the top for the mushroom stomp. London runs in but is met with a kick. Kash tries to climb the ropes, but London kicks his leg crotching him on the rop. London tries to follow with a top rope hurricanranna, but Kash shoves him off and hits a top rope moonsault to score the pin. They close out the segment with the hype video for the triple threat main event at Taboo Tuesday.

THE VERDICT

Good match. Kid Kash is definitely someone they can move into a program with Juventud over the cruiserweight belt. I just wish they'd let him talk more since that is a big strength of his. London seems to be on the losing end every week on Velocity but he always seems to be in the best match on the show and this was no exception. This is definitely one to check out.

(2) Bobby Lashley defeated Jason Partain with the dominator

Segment two opens up with a commercial for WWE shopzone. Back in the ring, Bobby Lashley takes on Jason Partain. Lashley hits an early backdrop. Partain goes to the headlock, but Lashley throws him off. Lashley whips him to the ropes for a shoulderblock, then kicks him out of the ring. He press slams him on the outside and tosses him back in the ring where he hits an overhead belly to belly suplex before hitting the dominator for the win. After the match, Nunzio and Vito attack Lashley. There will be a match on Smackdown next week with Vito and Nunzio taking on Lashley.

THE VERDICT

Basic squash match but it did a good job establishing Lashley as the big unstoppable power guy. They did a nice job with the attack at the end to let everybody know about the match next week on Smackdown. Probably only worth checking out if you're a Lashley fan or you haven't seen him yet and want to take a look.

(3) Sylvan defeated Funaki with the 3 seconds of fame

Segment three opens with an ad for the latest edtion of Smackdown magazine with Batista on the cover. Back in the ring Sylvan is taking on Funaki in singles action. Sylvan informs us that he's the the first supermodel superstar in WWE history (That's funny, I seem to recall another guy). He goes on say as a supermodel he charges thousands and thousands of dollars for a photoshoot. But tonight, after he wins his match he will give the fans 30 seconds to take his picture, on the condition that they don't sell it and keep it for their private collection. Sylvan attacks Funaki while he's getting in the ring with a series of kicks and works over the back early on. He whips him to the corner repeatedly and hits a back suplex. Sylvan is then distracted by a young lady in the front row giving Funaki time to recover. Funaki hits a couple punches to the midsection but that is short lived as Sylvan regains control. He hits a backbreaker then whips Funaki to the ropes and catches him in a bearhug. Funaki tries to fight his way out, but Sylvan rams him into the corner then reapplies the bear hug.
Funaki finally elbows his way out and Sylvan tries a back suplex, but Funaki manages to shift his weight on top of Sylvan as they land, but he doesn't have the energy to make the cover. Sylvan grabs the leg, but Funaki counters with an enziguri. Funaki hits some right hands, but Sylvan counters by whipping him to the corner and charges in. Funaki moves out of the way and hits Sylvan with a bulldog. Smackdown's number one announcer then hits a flying body press off the top rope but doesn't go for the cover. Instead he tries to set up Sylvan for the tornado ddt, but Sylvan throws him off and catches him in a spinebuster. Sylvan hits the 3 seconds of fame (suplex into a ddt) to score the pin. He poses for the crowd afterwards.

THE VERDICT

Another squash match. Sylvan has really improved alot and his character is really coming along. He's a good arogant heel. I think it won't be long till he's a regular on Smackdown. Only worth checking out if you're a Sylvan fan.

(4) "The Fixer" Jillian Hall defeated Stacy Keibler with her feet on the ropes

Segment four starts with a recap video of the six man main event from Smackdown. Backstage, Jillian is having a protector for her mole attaced to her face. She has two straps going across her face in an "X" that looks like something out of a bondage video. I wish I could describe it better, but its one of those things you have to see to believe. Jillian attacks early and rams Stacy into the corner. She gives her a snapmare and follows with a kick to the midsection. Stacy reverses an irish whip, but Jillian counters off the ropes with a monkey flip, which Stacy counters with a cartwheel to land on her feet. Stacy follows with a reverse roundhouse kick on Jillian for a two count. She then chokes Jillian in the corner with her long leg. She whips Jillian to the ropes but drops her head and Jillian reverses it into a sunset flip. This leads to a series of fish out of water two counts. Jillian hits a clothesline to score another two count. She rams her head into the mat a couple times then lands a cartwheel elbowdrop for a two count. She then chokes her in the ropes and covers for another two count. Jillian goes to work on the back but Stacy flips her off and throws her out of the ring. Jillian comes back in the ring and runs into a roundhouse kick from Stacy. Stacy climbs the ropes for the punches in the corner, but Jillian drops her to the mat and turns it into a pinning combination while putting her feet on the second rope for additional leverage to score the pin.

THE VERDICT

This was your average WWE women's match. Jillian looks alot better in wrestling gear than the way she usually dresses. Kinda short, but they both got their spots in. If you want to see some women's action, its worth checking out.

OVERALL

Overall this was a good show from the Velocity crew. Kind of a step down from the last couple weeks but there's still enough here worth checking out. Kash vs. London was the best match and is definitely worth checking out. Velocity is good for showcasing some of the young talent as they did here with Kash, Lashley and Sylvan. The women's match was something different as you usually don't much in the way of women's action from the Smackdown roster. And it was every bit as good as the women's action you usually see on Raw. This show had a little bit of something for everyone and you'll probably find something you like on it no matter what your taste is.
