ARMAGEDDON '06

December 17th, 2006

Richmond, Virginia - Richmond Coliseum.

- Hosted by Michael Cole & JBL.

1) Kane beat MVP in an "Inferno match" at 8:19.

After MVP's intro, they played a long clip about the Kane/MVP feud and the previous Inferno match. Flames surround the ring and they shoot up everytime there is a bump. They said there had been 3 other Inferno matches in the history of WWE, but I can only remember one. Kane lit up a corner pad to try and burn MVP. At 7:00 they ended up both fighting on the outside after having jumped over the top rope. Kane choked MVP and laid him on the flames. MVP's ass caught on fire and ran around lit up before a couple of guys came in with extinguishers. Lame match, dead crowd. Wadda start.

- Teddy Long came in the Women's locker room and told her that they'll be participating in a "Naughty Or Nice" Lingerie contest and that Santa Claus will be there as his "special guest".

- Teddy Long came out and announced for no reason that the next match would be a 4 Way Ladder match. Out came MNM and the Hardy Boyz.

2) WWE Tag Team champions, Paul London & Brian Kendrick beat William Regal & Dave Taylor & MNM (with Melina) & The Hardys in a Ladder match at 20:13 when London caught the belts.

8 men in the ring at the same time. At 6:00, 4 guys lifted the ladder while Mercury was on top and threw him on the outside in a nice spot. Kendrick did a Mushroom Stomp from the top rope on Matt Hardy while he was laying on a ladder. Ouch. The 2 old guys, especially Regal were virtually absent from the first 12 minutes of the match. Jeff Hardy did the usual spot where he jumps on the ladder and it bounces on his opponents face. Joey Mercury's face exploded on impact. Blood everywhere. Absolutely obscene amount of blood. He left the ring. They replayed the move and it was just sick and hard to watch. Horrid. They announced Mercury was rushed to a hospital. Nitro came back and Dropkicked a ladder on which Jeff Hardy was standing. He fell on the ropes in a scary move. At 17:20 Jeff Hardy did a Sunset Flip into a Powerbomb on Nitro from the top of the ladder. Kendrick botched a Sliced Bread #2 on Regal from the top of the ladder and everyone stopped breathing for a second in fear. London finally grabbed the belts at 20:13 to end the match. I was never so glad to see a match end. Scary on every move, tons of moves that could've been real bad. They showed Mercury's face after the match on a  replay, just scary. Scary shit.

- They showed Kristal getting ready for the Lingerie contest.

3) Boogeyman beat The Miz at 2:51 with a Chokeslam.

Miz did some mic work before the match. Boogey caught Miz coming of the tope rope and Chokeslammed in for the win. He then forced worms into Miz's mouth. Boogey celebrated by eating more worms.

- They showed Layla & Jillian getting ready.

- In a backstage promo, Chavo dedicated his match tonight to Vicki Guerrero. She thanked him for being a real man, she then cut a promo on Chris Benoit.

4) WWE US champion, Chris Benoit beat Chavo Guerrero (with Vicki Guerrero) at 12:15 with the Sharpshooter.

At 9:30 Chavo tried the 3 Amigos, but Benoit countered with 8 German Suplexes! A message to Kurt Angle who couldn't manage 3 in a row on TNA. Benoit put on the Sharpshooter but Vicki interfered. Benoit confronted her and hesitated putting her in the Sharpshooter. Chavo roll him up for a 2 count. Benoit kicked and put the Sharpshooter again for the win at 12:15.

- A commercial for December's Fanatic Series aired : Loose Canon, Brian Pillman.

- They showed Ashley getting ready for the contest.

5) WWE Cruiserweight champion, Gregory Helms beat Jimmy Wang Yang at 10:52 with a Jawbreaker.

Crowd was silent. There was a drunken guy in the first few rows that screamed "Gregory, you suck" about 50 times during the match. He was the only thing you could hear. A nothing match. People were bored and had to entertain themselves. JBL even had to talk about the "Boring" chants. Yang missed a Corkscrew Moonsault and Helms followed wih a Knee to the face for the win. Helms had blood coming out of his mouth.

6) The Undertaker beat Mr.Kennedy in a Last Ride match at 19:07.

The same drunk guy has been screaming "Kennedy, you suck" for the past 10 minutes. You can only hear him and I'm surprised he wasn't taken out by security or at least KO'ed by the guy next to him. He's taking away from the match and is the main story here. Blah. At 10:00 Kennedy attacked Taker with a chair. They fought to the very high entrance structure out of nowhere. Kennedy threw Taker from the top in an impressive visual. From the angle it looked like Taker died on impact, but from other angles they replayed he actually fell on a very safe matress.Kennedy dragged Taker to the hearse, put him in and closed the door. Kennedy tried to drive away but Taker stood up and attacked Kennedy. At 16:00 Kennedy bladed after a chairshot. Taker Chokeslammed Kennedy on the tope of the hearse, and then Tombstoned him also on the roof. He set Kennedy in the hearse and drove away to win the match.  

- Backstage, Finlay promised Booker he won't double cross him. They teased tension between the 2.

- They aired a commercial for NYR with DX playing with the declaration of independence.

- Santa Claus came to the ring to ref the bikini contest between Layla, Jillian, Kristal & Ashley. They danced but then Santa said that they were all winners. Crowd booed. Santa then asked for his music, and took off his attire. It was Big Dick Johnson and he danced with the girls.

- They aired a commercial for the Royal Rumble.

7) WWE champion, John Cena & World champion, Batista beat Finlay & King Booker (with Sharmell) at 11:28 when Batista pinned Booker after a Batista Bomb.

Cena started out against Booker. At 7:50 the Little Bastard tried to interfere, but kicked himself in the head by mistake. Batista hit his finisher on Booker out of nowhere for the quick win at 11:28.
