Eddie Guerrero Found Dead

This morning, WWE performer Eddie Guerrero was found dead in a Minneapolis hotel room.

At the time of his death, Eddie was involved in a high profile Smackdown storyline with World Champion Dave Batista. This Friday's edition of the show was scheduled to feature Batista meeting Randy Orton and Eddie in a Triple Threat match for the World Title. As of now, there is no word on the exact cause of death or how WWE will handle the situation on-air.

Eddie Guerrero has performed for WWE, WCW, ECW, and countless other promotions. Some of his most notable moments included teaming with the late Art Barr as a member of Los Gringos Locos, his involvement in the "Radicals" faction, and winning the WWE title from Brock Lesnar, among others.

Early on in his WWE run, Guerrero played the role of "Latino Heat" and pursued an on-air relationship with Chyna. As the years went by, Eddie's gimmick morphed into a "Lie, Cheat, and Steal" persona that saw him ride to the ring in a low rider. The most recent storyline that people may remember is his Summerslam conflict with Rey Mysterio Jr over custody of Dominic, Rey's son.

Everyone at WorldWrestlingInsanity.com sends their condolences to Eddie's wife Vicki, his daughters, and everyone else in the Guerrero family. To say that Guerrero's spirit and ability will be missed is an understatement. Eddie Guerrero was 38.
