Welcome to tonight's ongoing real time coverage of “TNA Impact” on Spike TV. You may need to hit "refresh" from time to time to see the latest update.

* * *

Tonight's show was taped at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Kurt Angle burst into James Cornette’s office and interrupted a phone call.  Cornette said he had arranged for Samoa Joe to be nowhere near the ring during Angle’s match tonight, but he wanted something in return from Angle.  Hmm…

Mike Tenay and Don West welcomed viewers to the show.

(1)             Kurt Angle vs. Serotonin’s Matt Bentley.  Angle started right in with suplexes.  Clothesline with authority from Maverick Matt.  Elevated back body drop by Angle, followed by a series of suplexes.  Kazarian jumped into the ring and Angle tossed him out of the ring, then put an ankle lock on Bentley.  Angle won by submission.

Outside the studio, an Army vehicle drove up with Team 3D dressed in camouflage.  They declared war on LAX.

During the break, Raven (wearing a bizarre mask) beat Matt Bentley with a Kendo stick for losing the previous match.

Jeremy Borash was in Samoa Joe’s dressing room.  Joe said he had promised to stay away from Angle during his match, but now that it’s over, he’s going to hurt Angle.  Joe warned Angle not to turn his back tonight.

Meanwhile, a steel cage was sitting next to the ring.

James Storm headed to the ring with Gail Kim.  Last week he’d given her seven days to make a decision.  Guess she’s keeping it a secret, since she never did reveal her decision.

(2)             Six-Man Tag Team Match:  X Champion Christopher Daniels & Rhino & Petey Williams vs. A.J. Styles & James Storm & Chris Sabin.  Once in the ring, all six started swinging.  They finally sorted things out and the respective participants in Sunday night’s pay-per-view teased things to come.  One thing led to another and A.J. Styles rolled up Daniels for a quick (and sneaky) pin.

Borash gave James Mitchell the mic and let him address Abyss.  Mitchell was just a bit resentful that Abyss had run off.  If Abyss didn’t prove his loyalty to Mitchell, he would reveal Abyss’s dirty little secret.  Mitchell suggested that Abyss make “the right decision.”

Nash’s PCS group was training hard at the poker table this week.  It seems the finals are coming up at Final Resolution.  They ought to be in fine form with all the limbo dancing and poker playing they’ve been doing.

Chris Harris had a sit-down interview with Borash.  Harris said he was at risk of losing his vision thanks to Storm’s beer-bottle shot at the last PPV.  He said he was still hurt and confused about Storm’s actions.

During the interview, Team 3D and LAX started their war a few days early.  Konnan had been taken out tonight in retaliation for what LAX had done to Brother Runt last week.

(Commercial break)

Borash was backstage awaiting the arrival of Team 3D.  Eric Young stopped by to discuss his vitamins (or something), then 3D showed up and cut a rather hostile promo directed at LAX.

Voodoo Kin Mafia were at the Alamo looking for Michael Hickenbottom.  *wink, wink*  They didn’t find him, so they drove aimlessly around San Antonio.  They didn’t find him, and said they’d see him Sunday.  Whatever.  (They don’t need all these silly vignettes; they could just as easily sit back and gloat about last Monday night’s show.)

(3)             Main Event:  NWA World Heavyweight Champion Abyss vs. Tomko.   Turns out the cage at ringside was for Christian Cage so that he could not interfere on Tomko’s behalf.  Cage said he would not get in the cage.  Cornette thought Kurt Angle might be able to change Cage’s mind.  Angle used a stern look and a shove or two persuade Christian to get into the cage.

(Commercial break)

Good back and forth action with several near falls…

Samoa Joe appeared out of the nowhere and jumped Angle.  While security was occupied with Joe and Angle, Christian found the keys to the cage.  He unlocked the door and jumped into the ring to lend a hand to Tomko.

The lights went out and Sting was in the ring when they came back on.  He took his baseball bat and neutralized Tomko.

Abyss joined Sting in the ring.  Sting was more than a little surprised to find himself over Abyss’s head and getting slammed.  Abyss motioned to Mitchell that he wanted to come home.

Tune in Sunday night for Final Resolution to see how this will all play out.
